1. What files am I uploading for analysis and modeling by the AIMED@Q Software?
The output of Client System ICR and Confidence Value for testing scenario is input to a Scoring Module. Typically, this output file is formatted at Text Delineated, but can be multiple file types as the Scoring Module can be modified to accept file types and formatting specific to client needs. The Scoring Module is software specifically created for the DTD test material with predetermined answers and modified to meet interface requirements of the client system. The output of the Scoring Module is tabulated Error Rate versus Reject Rate. Scoring Module can be Web enabled onto the AIMED@Q website software tool, or run at the client's site. The Output file of the Scoring Module is what is uploaded for analysis and modeling with the AIMED@Q Software.
2. Why does the Error versus Reject Rate curve tail up at high reject rates when testing some systems (usually poorly performing systems)?
At the tail end approaching 100% Reject, the Accept rate is very low and any error in that range will cause a higher error percentage (because denominator, accepts, is low). As you come away from the end, and add more accepts to the pile, then the error rate is lowered. This is a mathematical anomaly of having an error at a very high confidence rate.
3. What do you mean by "tuning" your system?
Selecting optimal operating point on a curve is tuning. On the Error versus Reject Rate curve, this is typically the point where the curve starts to flatten and the reduction in errors does not warrant the addition cost of keying. This optimum point can be precisely identified on the Cost Per Form or Check Curve versus Reject Rate, where Keying, Cost per Error and other factors and included in the analysis to identify the system optimum operating point.
4. If I make any change to my system, how do I measure and understand the impact of that change to my system?
A new curve models the system change or upgraded technology, of which then a new optimal operating point can be selected and the change in cost to process a form or check understood.
5. Why does the Cost per Form or Check versus Error Rate curve have a low spot and what does it mean?
To left of sweet spot is cost of error sensitivity and to right of sweet spot is cost of keying sensitivity
6. Why would I want to implement an AIMED@Q solution on my current document or check imaging system?
You would create the ability to Monitor and Tune Current System for Optimum Performance.
  • i. Ability to model cost of keying and errors for any reject rate operating point of the ICR software for that specific system.
  • ii. Ability to Quantify costs associated with any system changes (imaging, image processing, printing, forms design, ICR, respondent data, etc…)
7. Where could I expect to see savings with an AIMED@Q SW implementation?

You will see shorten development cycle times with better purchasing decisions while decreasing risk.

You will enable operation of the current system at the optimal operating point.

8. As an integrator or solutions provider, can the AIMED@Q SW help me generate incremental revenue?
Yes, you will create the ability to differentiate your solution from the competition and generate incremental professional services sales income by reselling AIMED@Q SW, services and technology.
